Tea Remembered

Tea drinking is regarded as an important tradition for the British culture, the idea of replacing the original tags attached onto the ends of tea bags to a coaster/mat is to solve problems for where to place dripping wet tea bags after we use them. The coasters are embossed with disc shapes, printed with invisible hidden images or messages dependent on the manufacturer’s choice. Each coaster acts as a plate for the soaked tea bags to avoid them from dripping everywhere. Once the tea bags are placed onto the coaster, the tea soaks in and stains to reveal the hidden image which can be used for various different purposes, such as commercially (e.g., advertising for shops, companies and products, or for the 2012 Olympics, images on the left), in cafes and restaurants, or as surprise messages (like the fortune cookie), or even as souvenirs for London (embossed with iconic symbols of the city).  The market potential of this product is therefore, huge.
