A tangle-free solution for earphones.
One-Third is designed to be a tangle-free earphones solution by employing magnetic force and geometric arrangement.
While the wired earphones are still popular by virtue of their portability and reliability, the tangling of cables often causes frustration for their users. Unlike earphones in the current market which reply on additional components such as cable tidies or clips, One-Third introduces a standalone measure that can solve this issue effectively by bonding the earbuds and audio jack seamlessly via strong magnetic force and matching polygonal relationship so it prevents any of the three ends interweaving and gradually occurring mass. In addition to above, the ease of use can also significantly enhance the efficiency to store aside on the move and help with the any particular intentional arrangement.

Moving further from the revolutionary Seaboard GRAND, this is the first Seaboard designed for mass-production process and aiming to attract consumers by its advanced Seaboard technology, affordability, and portability. The design celebrates the minimalism and honest aesthetics, and resolved all compromises from engineering, material and production challenges. The result achieved a true refinement on every detail on the hardware and have made this product widely recognizable in the design and music fields.
CASE FOR RISE A gift case for Seaboard RISE. Deployed the molding property of the EPP material to realize a simple, elegant and effective transportation solution in one go.
FLIPCASE A matching accessory for Seaboard RISE. It is providing a versatile solution to fulfill protection and personalization at the same time. The well-designed flip also works as a holder for mobile devices or a stand for the instrument itself. It came in 5 vivid colors when first launched.

A travel accessory that solves the most common inconveniences comprehensively.
Missing luggage, drained mobile phone, no immediate wifi connection after landing, these are very common travel hassles you might face. There are miscellaneous products are made to solve each of the problem while not meant to be practical across multiple annoying problems. This is what Travel EASY can offer. Travel EASY is an electronic luggage tag that you can track on your smartphone and is an alternative phone powered by a solar panel that you can make an emergency call anytime. In addition, you can easily hook a battery pack onto the main body and turn it into a mobile WiFi router. With the all-around design, it could basically prevent most of the unnecessary hassles when traveling. It is a luggage tracker, solar-powered phone, mobile WiFi router and travel buddy.

A light-weight, unique & recyclable packagingn solution for the Seaboards.
EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) has been recognized as a light-weight, mouldable, protective, 100% recyclable and cheap material which is commonly used as the base material for the bicycle helmet and interior components for vehicles. And the unique character also goes well with the cool look of Seaboard so it stood out among a bunch of materials such as carbon fiber, aluminum, and other plastics and we have been using this foamy substance for 4 models from Seaboard Grand to Seaboard RISE.

Seaboard Grand Stand
A minimal, robust & perfectly matching stand for the first Seboard.
For celebrating the very first ROLI product - Seaboard GRAND LFE (Limited First Edition), we offered a beautifully crafted stand for each of our customers. To match the minimal look of Seaboard, the stand made of aluminum and all the details go perfectly with the profile and outline of the instrument. The stand requires mere 8 steps to construct to achieve great stability and takes the same effort to disassemble to be carried around in a flat and compact arrangement.

This project belongs to Foster & Partners and was commissioned by a Spanish brand specializing in outdoor furniture. It aims to project the beauty of cast aluminium and to show the flexibility of combining different materials - metal and timber for an outdoor range. It shares a similar concept to that in the “bridge foundation” and “bridge deck” - to illustrate a link relationship between different materials. With this simple and clean language, a range of application was presented.
This project was inspired by the knowledge of punching and press break processes and the design of Stamp Chair from Tom Dixon. The design aimed to meet the standard of industrial process and also to achieve the simplicity and beauty for a furniture project. The outcome was disciplined by the machinery limitation and theoretical capability, and was developed by the optimistic perspectives, and finally was delivered the concept through the computer.
The concept is employing the technique of shrink fitting on the structure for furniture, which is based on the principle of Thermal Expansion - various elements such as metal, expands when it is heated, and contracts when it is cooled. (The images above show the scientific experiment explaining the phenomenon.) This is a new method of jointing without the need for any additional elements, such as screws, glue and solder, only applying with heat. Shrink fitting, applying the change of temperature to join different parts together without any medium, is commonly used in the engineering field. However, it is a novel method in furniture design. I started to explore the potential of this principle in furniture design with an aim to reveal its value to people.
